Tenho estado muito ocupada com muitas coisas, entre elas o aniversário
do meu marido. Tenho cozinhado, assado, limpado muito e recebido
visitas. Hoje começou a acalmar um pouco, mas amanhã já tenho um
potluck(almoço) com as amigas (irmãs em Cristo, aqui em casa). Os meus filhos
foram passar uma semana no campo(Acampamento da Bíblia), junto
com outras crianças de diferentes Igrejas Batista, na região. Se chama acampamento,
mas eles estão alojados em um alojamento, numa fazenda aqui perto.

A mensagem abaixo é para lembrar vocês que no meus links ao lado,
com a Bíblia, voces podem ler o nosso pão diário, que é muito bom e encorajador. Leia a mensagem abaixo e confira. Seria bom se voçês
fizesse a leitura da Bíblia, conforme indicado, também.

Leitura:I Coríntios 4:14-17

1 Coríntios 11:1 Sede meus imitadores, como também eu de Cristo.

O menino olhou para o avô e indagou em voz alta, "Avô, como vives
para Jesus?" O formidável avô inclinou-se e segredou: "Só observa".
Para o menino, à medida que os anos passavam, o avô era um exemplo
como seguir a Jesus. Ele continuava firmemente a viver para Ele.
Contudo o neto vivia muitas vezes de forma que não agradava a Deus.
Um dia, já jovem, visitou o avô. Ambos sabiam que seria a última vez. Enquanto o idoso jazia deitado às portas da morte, o neto apoiou-se na
cama e ouviu o avô sussurrar: "Observaste?"Este foi o momento decisivo
na vida do neto. Ele entendeu que quando o seu avô tinha dito: "Só observa"
ele quis dizer: "Sede meus imitadores, como também eu de Cristo"
(I Coríntios 11:1). Ele prometeu que a partir daquele dia viveria como o
avô viveu - empenhando-se em agradar a Jesus. Ele tinha observado e
agora sabia como viver.Está alguém a observar-te? Existem cristãos
mais jovens que precisam de ver que é possível viver para Jesus diariamente,
e em todas as situações? Desafia-os - e aceita tu mesmo o desafio.
Desafia-os a "só observar." Então mostra-lhes o caminho. - JDB

I've been very busy with many things, among them, the birthday of my husband. I've cooked, baked, cleaned...and received visitors. Today
it started to calm a little bit, but tomorrow I already have a potluck lunch,
with my friends(sisters in Christ), at my place, in my program. My kids
went to the Bible camp with other children from different Baptist Churches
in the region. They call it camp, but they sleep, eat and have worship in
a building that is located in a farm.They also go swim and have a lot of fun.

The message below is to remember you that in my links with the Bible in
the main page beside, you can read "Our daily bread". It's very good
and encouraging. It would be nice if you do the Bible reading as well.

Just Watch

Read:1 Corinthians 4:14-17

1 Corinthians 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

The young boy looked up at his grandfather and wondered aloud,
"Grandpa, how do you live for Jesus?" The respected grandfather
stooped down and quietly told the boy, "Just watch."
As the years went by, the grandfather was an example to the boy of
how to follow Jesus. He stayed rock-steady in living for Him. Yet the
grandson often lived in a way that was not pleasing to God.
One day the young man visited his grandfather for what both knew
would be the last time. As the older man lay dying, his grandson leaned
over the bed and heard his grandpa whisper, "Did you watch?"
That was the turning point in the boy's life. He understood that when
his grandpa had said, "Just watch," he meant, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). He vowed that from then on he would
live as his grandfather did—striving to please Jesus. He had watched, and
now he knew how to live.
Is somebody watching you? Are there younger Christians who need to see
that it is possible to live for Jesus every day and in every way? Challenge
them—and yourself. Challenge them to "just watch." Then show them the
