Olá pessoal,

Tive um ótimo fim de semana com a minha familia e ontem eu fui com as crianças num parque de diversão muito especial Efteling (Eurodisney da Holanda, ha, ha). Se quiserem saber mais clique aqui.
Os meus filhos só retornarão as aulas na semana que vem. Pode ser que eu tenha mais tempo para blogar.

Leitura:II Samuel 24:1-17

"Justo é o Senhor em todos os Seus caminhos
e Santo em todas as Suas obras." - Salmo 145:17

Já alguma vez ficaste confuso com declarações na Bíblia que parecem contradizer-se umas às outras? Por exemplo, I Crónicas 21:1 relata que Satanás "incitou David para numerar a Israel", mas II Samuel 24:1 afirma que foi o Senhor. Como explicamos nós isto? Sabemos que Deus a ninguém tenta (Tiago 1:13).
A resposta reside no modo como os escritores do Velho Testamento expressaram as maneiras de Deus agir. Por vezes, eles imputaram a Deus o que Ele simplesmente permitia, reconhecendo que Ele nos permite fazer escolhas erradas e depois usa os resultados trágicos para cumprir os Seus bons propósitos.
Em II Samuel 24:1, lemos que Deus "moveu David" a fazer um censo a Israel.
Este é claramente um caso em que Deus permitiu Satanás influenciar a David, pois esta era uma tentativa para avaliar a força do exército de Israel. Isto reflectiu o mesmo pecado de orgulho e independência que prevalecia na nação. Como resultado, Deus julgou o povo e o seu rei.
Assim sendo qual foi o bom propósito em permitir que Satanás influenciasse David? Embora muitos Israelitas tivessem morrido, a nação em si, foi poupada e purificada. O Senhor castigouo culpado, mas também mostrou a Sua clemência.
Os caminhos de Deus podem estar além da nossa compreensão, mas podemos sempre confiar que Ele faz o que é certo.

Hi Guys and girls,

My weekend was very nice and yesterday I went to the Efteling (Dutch Disneyland) with the kids. In spite of the rain, we enjoyed it very much. The kids still have vacation. They will start again going to the school next week. Then I hope that I will have more free time.

THE WAYS OF GOD
READ: 2 Samuel 24:1-17

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. —Psalm 145:17

Have you ever puzzled over statements in the Bible that seem to contradict each other? For example, 1 Chronicles 21:1 states that the one who "moved David to number Israel" was Satan, but 2 Samuel 24:1 says it was the Lord. How do we explain this? We know that God never tempts anyone to sin (James 1:13).
The answer lies in the way the Old Testament writers expressed the ways of God. They sometimes ascribed to God what He merely allowed, knowing that He permits us to make wrong choices and then uses the tragic results to accomplish His good purposes.
In 2 Samuel 24:1, we read that God "moved David" to take a census of Israel. This is clearly a case when God allowed Satan to influence David, for it was an attempt to assess Israel's military strength. This reflected the same sin of pride and self-reliance that was prevalent in the nation. As a result, God judged the people and their king.
So what was the good purpose God accomplished by allowing Satan to influence David? Although many Israelites died, the nation itself was spared and purified. The Lord punished the guilty but also showed His mercy.
God's ways may be beyond our understanding, but we can always trust Him to do what is right.
