His name is Jesus!

Eis que a virgem conceberá e dará à luz um Filho, e Ele será chamado pelo nome de Emanuel (que quer dizer: Deus conosco)". Mateus 1:23

Boa época essa, o natal, para corrigir o maior dos enganos de todos os tempos. É chegada a hora de enxergar Jesus além do menino pobre, sem sorte, do sem-teto que nasce de favor em meio a vacas, jumentos e mal-cheiro, vindo de um povo subjugado, humilhado e sem esperança. Não é possível continuar olhando para Cristo através miopia milenar com a qual a humanidade só é capaz de vislumbrar presépios de miséria. Chega de dividirmos Cristo com futilidades que não tem nada a ver com o verdadero natal.
Boa época para desfazer a idéia de um Jesus desprotegido, sem sorte, e digno da nossa piedade: "coitadinho, tão pequenino naquela manjedoura... o que pode Ele fazer por nós?". Não fosse o papai Noel, a árvore, as luzes, os presentes, os amigos e o empenho dos clubes logísticos para vender o natal; talvez o Cristo, menino coitadinho, já houvesse caído no esquecimento de muitos, esquecido definitivamente, naquela manjedoura fria e sem conforto.

O verdadeiro natal deve ser visto e repassado ao mundo na dimensão a qual o viu Isaías, centenas de anos antes daquela noite fria, quando o Salvador nasceu: "Um Menino nos nasceu", disse Isaias, enxergando pela fé, que Aquele Menino era de fato a nossa única Esperança.

“... um Filho se nos deu...". Precisamos, mais que tudo, e urgentemente, reconhecer que Jesus é a Dádiva Maior que podemos ter da parte do Criador. Dádiva maior do que a vida, visto que é a Vida eterna posta pela Graça divina, Fruto da providência e sobrenaturalidade do Criador. “O governo está sobre os Seus ombros...", disse Elias! É preciso que reconheçamos - Ele é Rei! Isaías viu pela fé que sobre Seus ombros havia um manto real, porque Ele era e é Soberano; "Seu nome será: Maravilhoso Conselheiro".

Precisamos reconhecer que Jesus é o Único capaz de, com a Sua Palavra, nortear a direção das nossas vidas perdidas, como naus à deriva. Seus conselhos diretivos foram, dentre tantos: "Eu sou a Porta", "Sou o Caminho, a Verdade, e a Vida", "Eu sou a Videira Verdadeira", "Sou também o Alfa e o ômega, o Princípio e o Fim", o "Emanuel", Deus conosco, a Garantia da nossa vitória. N'Ele somos mais que vencedores!

"Pai da eternidade": só Jesus detém a vida eterna, pois ela foi gerada n'Ele, Ele é o acesso à Eternidade, e toda ela reside n'Ele; "Príncipe da Paz"! Isaías entendeu que a Paz completa está reservada para cada um de nós quando com Ele estivermos reinando espiritualmente. "O Meu Reino não é desse mundo", disse Jesus, certa vez.

Vivermos num tempo em que essas palavras sobre Jesus, nada têm a ver com o natal mercantilista que nos é posto - natal barato, de um dia apenas...

Boa época esta, o natal, para enxergar Jesus, com os olhos de Deus!

The Glory of His Name

The message of Christmas is not about the proclamation of a holiday or the declaration of a season. It is about the proclamation of a Person and the declaration of Salvation. The birth of the child in the manger was an event that prophets had written about, the people of Israel had spoken about, the patriarchs of old had wondered about, and the angels of God shouted about on that glorious night when Christ was born.
Turn back the clock 2000 years and you will hear no man or angel saying, “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays.” What you will hear are the things that spoke of the wonders of His name, the glory of His presence, and the meaning of His birth. You will hear the voice of the angel of the Lord proclaiming to a small band of shepherds the following good news, * “Have I got something to say to you! It’s news that is too good not to be true. It’s news that will flood you with joy from your head to your toes. God has done it! He has sent the One that He has promised to send, the Jewish Messiah, from David’s very seed. Yes, it is Yeshua, God’s Salvation, who has come to save you from your sins.” The news was so exciting that a huge number of angels could no longer contain themselves. In one thunderous voice they shouted out, * “Glory, glory to God in heaven’s highest place. He has sent to earth’s lowly place His gift of perfect peace, and it is now available for all who will believe.”
Why did the angels have such excitement and celebration? We only need to know the names that belong to Him to understand.
Jesus—the One who saves you from your sins and who brings you forgiveness from the past.
Christ—the One sent by God for you; the Messiah, the fulfillment of every promise God has made to you in His word; the only One anointed by God to redeem you.
Immanuel—the One who came from heaven to earth to bring you from earth to heaven; God living in the midst of your life, being with you, and abiding in you.
The Word—the One who formed you in your mother’s womb, brought you into existence, and created you for His eternal purpose.
Wonderful—the One who does wondrous things for you, good things to you, and beautiful things within you.
Prince of Peace—the One who quiets your heart, calms your spirit, and brings rest to your soul.
Counselor—the One who guides your footsteps, leads you in the paths of righteousness, and speaks the love of the Father to your heart.
May all Jesus is, and all He gives, be your true celebration this Christmas and always!

Queridas(os) amigas(os) e familia,

Obrigado pelo carinho, palavras de apoio e encorajamento demonstrados aqui no meu blog e também através de e-mail e telefone. Eu vos agradeço de todo o meu coração. Voces não abençoaram só a mim com as suas palavras, mas tambem outros que leram os comentários.Desculpe-me por não ter visitado todos ainda, mas vou fazendo aos poucos.

Eclesiastes 3 - Um tempo para tudo

1 Tudo tem a sua ocasião própria, e há tempo para todo propósito debaixo do céu.
2 Há tempo de nascer, e tempo de morrer; tempo de plantar, e tempo de arrancar o que se plantou;
3 tempo de matar, e tempo de curar; tempo de derribar, e tempo de edificar;
4 tempo de chorar, e tempo de rir; tempo de prantear, e tempo de dançar;
5 tempo de espalhar pedras, e tempo de ajuntar pedras; tempo de abraçar, e tempo de abster-se de abraçar;
6 tempo de buscar, e tempo de perder; tempo de guardar, e tempo de deitar fora;
7 tempo de rasgar, e tempo de coser; tempo de estar calado, e tempo de falar;
8 tempo de amar, e tempo de odiar; tempo de guerra, e tempo de paz.
9 Que proveito tem o trabalhador naquilo em que trabalha?
10 Tenho visto o trabalho penoso que Deus deu aos filhos dos homens para nele se exercitarem.
11 Tudo fez formoso em seu tempo; também pôs na mente do homem a idéia da eternidade, se bem que este não possa descobrir a obra que Deus fez desde o princípio até o fim.
12 Sei que não há coisa melhor para eles do que se regozijarem e fazerem o bem enquanto viverem;
13 e também que todo homem coma e beba, e goze do bem de todo o seu trabalho é dom de Deus.
14 Eu sei que tudo quanto Deus faz durará eternamente; nada se lhe pode acrescentar, e nada se lhe pode tirar; e isso Deus faz para que os homens temam diante dele:
15 O que é, já existiu; e o que há de ser, também já existiu; e Deus procura de novo o que já se passou.
16 Vi ainda debaixo do sol que no lugar da retidão estava a impiedade; e que no lugar da justiça estava a impiedade ainda.
17 Eu disse no meu coração: Deus julgará o justo e o ímpio; porque há um tempo para todo propósito e para toda obra.
18 Disse eu no meu coração: Isso é por causa dos filhos dos homens, para que Deus possa prová-los, e eles possam ver que são em si mesmos como os brutos.
19 Pois o que sucede aos filhos dos homens, isso mesmo também sucede aos brutos; uma e a mesma coisa lhes sucede; como morre um, assim morre o outro; todos têm o mesmo fôlego; e o homem não tem vantagem sobre os brutos; porque tudo é vaidade.
20 Todos vão para um lugar; todos são pó, e todos ao pó tornarão.
21 Quem sabe se o espírito dos filhos dos homens vai para cima, e se o espírito dos brutos desce para a terra?
22 Pelo que tenho visto que não há coisa melhor do que alegrar-se o homem nas suas obras; porque esse é o seu quinhão; pois quem o fará voltar para ver o que será depois dele?

Que a paz de Deus que transcende toda a nossa compreensão, guardará os vossos corações e os vossos pensamentos em Cristo Jesus. Filipenses 4:7.

Thank you for your love, care, prayers and words of encourajement. It's really confort me and also others who were reading them.Thank you very much. Sorry I didn't answer or visit all the blogs yet, but I am doing it slowly.

Ecclesiastes 3 - A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What does the worker gain from his toil?
10 I have seen the burden God has laid on men.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.
13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God.
14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
15 Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account.

17 I thought in my heart, "God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time for every deed."
18 I also thought, "As for men, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.
19 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath ; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless.
20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.
21 Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"
22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
